Sharing and passing on good content is, of course, the hub which oils all good social media marketing principles: if you spend time and energy producing and distributing great social media content, the results can be spectacular in terms of reach and influence.
I regularly review those who are spreading the love on my behalf, by passing on blog content, adding comments to blog posts, sharing my content within their networks, and generally being awesome advocates.
With that in mind, I’m going to say an official, wholehearted and extremely grateful Thank You to Hana Guenzl, founder of the Deep Vision Image blog– focusing on branding, from Sydney. It’s a great blog, too – as you can see here.
Thank You, Hana - I appreciate your advocacy. It is noticed. It is appreciated. It is valued.
There are a few simple things you can do today to add the power of Thank You within your social media engagement:
* Be present and notice who spreads your social media content.
* Be grateful and give them a meaningful and public Thank You.
* Be consistent and keep producing brilliant content for them.
How are you saying Thank You to the superstars in your social media networks?
When was the last time you said Thank You for the advocacy and support of a genuine, well-meaning and sincere fan, follower or supporter?
Without Thank You, social media engagement becomes a cold, hard, transactional process – rather than an exercise in genuine connection.
