Today, I got an email from a man called Paul that I have never met. The email is below, and I am asking you very nicely to please read it and then decide if you can take a simple action to help a man save his wife's life. It's not a donation, it's either spreading the word and/or donating a bit of spit and maybe some blood if you're a match . Please read it all before you judge it by it's spam-like / "dramatic" subject line.... PLEASE NOTE - I have just phoned the guy that wrote it, basically to check it was genuine (No way was I going to pass this on without checking). And I'm sorry to say that it is genuine. I am going to do as much as I possibly can to spread the word about this. The more people receive it, the more might act on it. The more act on it, the more chance Paul's wife, Gilly, has of finding a match and getting the stem cells she needs to survive. All a match has to do is: 1 - Spit into a pot and post it somewhere 2 - Give some blood Can you guys help me spread the word on this one? I can't really imagine how anyone could ignore this email, it has truly shaken me. I have decided that I will send this out to all our contacts, publish it on the LTF blog, and link back to it from all our Social Media accounts. Rick

YOU COULD SAVE HER LIFE.Dear LorraineMy wife, Gilly, is young, blonde and beautiful, with a great job, loads of energy and two lovely young children. But she also has Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. You might be able to save her life. You could take the first steps in the next few minutes.Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is a deadly cancer of the lymphatic system. The condition is often cured by chemotherapy. Gilly has endured two gruelling courses of chemotherapy, but both have failed to cure her.On Monday, Gilly starts another course of high-dose chemotherapy. At the end of that, she will need to have a stem cell transplant. Without it, she will die.We need to find a stem cell donor. Quickly. It’s real needle-in-a-haystack stuff. Even Gilly’s brother and sister do not match. But someone out there is the perfect match - and that could change everything. Please can you help? This is what social media was made for.The more potential donors we can recruit, the better our chances of finding a match.Donors need to be aged between 18 and 40. You may not fit into this bracket, but who do you know who does?Donors need to register at the Anthony Nolan Trust. It takes just 10 minutes to register. The Anthony Nolan Trust sends you a saliva test kit in the post. You spit in the pot, send it back and wait to be matched with someone who needs a transplant to keep them alive.PLEASE ONLY REGISTER IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT BECOMING A DONOR.It costs the trust £100 to process each application, so it’s important that you are fully committed. There’s a FAQ page that will help you with your decision.Whatever else you do, please bring this email to the attention of all your friends. We need a viral spread to find a donor in a million.Someone out there can save Gilly’s life. But we don’t have much time.Thank you.Paul Jenkins Managing Partner The Paul Jenkins CompanyMob: 07739 986271 Web:www..tpjc.co.uk I have sent this email to everyone in my recruitment and networking contact database.
